Harvest Dance - Wheatwine

From Boulevard Brewing Smoke Stack Series KC, Missouri - 9.1% ABV
25 oz dark brown bottle. Served in a Westleteren goblet.
It pours a hazy copper/golden color with an overly enthusiastic billowing off-white head and load of sticky lacing.
Smells of citrus, yeasty cloves, damp basement, wildflowers, cut grass, green wood, tobacco and resinous hops mingle about.
Tastes of orange and lemon zest float in flavors of wheat crackers and peppery spices. Flavors of cloves, toasted tobacco, caramel and perfumy gin vie for attention.
The mouthfeel is spritzy and fizzy. I expected this brew to mellow and balance out, but it stayed complex with flavors and aromas flying around wild and loose.
It reminds me of a cross between a strong Saison and citrusy Quad.
